Based in Baltimore, Dean has been
hooked on writing and editing ever since
tackling his first column for his high school
newspaper in 1990. After graduating from
Towson University in 1996, he spent three
years as a freelance writer, working for
Baltimore Magazine, Mid-Atlantic Country
Magazine, Patuxent Publishing and The
Baltimore Times.
Dean is also an independent filmmaker
and established Running Storm
Productions. His first short film, Attack of
the Killer Duct Tape, was an official entry of
the Santa Fe Film Festival and made the
Top 10 at the Creative Alliance's CAmm
Slam in 2007. His most recent short film, A
Much Needed Change, finished second at
CAmm Slam in 2009. Dean is also
co-founder of the 29 Days Later Film
Project.
